Arrival at Lamezia Terme Airport. Arrival and check-in at the hotel in Tropea

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning to spend a few pleasant hours in the beautiful beaches of Calabria (private beach or Lido Affi liated). Afternoon transfer on your own car to Pizzo Calabro and visit the Church of Piedigrotta, a church near the Sea built inside a rock wall. Visit Murat Castle and walk in the city center of Pizzo, where you can taste the famous “Tartufo” a typical ice cream of the area, famous and exported all over the world. Return to the hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on your own car to Tropea’s Port, where you can sail to Aeolian Islands. Day tour with visit of the three islands: Stromboli, Panarea and Vulcano. The Aeolian Islands are a famous Sicilian archipelagos, reachable in a few hours of navigation, rich in history and traditions and famous for the presence of two active volcanoes. In each of the islands you can have some free time to explore the streets of the small villages which are mostly near the coast. Evening return to Tropea’s port. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Free morning to spend a few pleasant hours in the beautiful beaches of Calabria (private beach or Lido affi liated). Consider visiting the Lighthouse in Capo Vaticano and transfer in the old town of Tropea, a typical medieval village built overlooking the sea. Visit the Cathedral and the main street, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, which ends with a small square, from where you can dominate and enjoy the beautiful views of the Costa degli Dei. In the evening, return to the hotel. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on your own by car to Scilla, where you can visit Chianalea, a fi shing village built near the sea, consisting of only small houses and shelters for boats. Possibility to have lunch on the spot by the sea in a nearby restaurant. Transfer to Reggio Calabria where you can visit the Archaeological Museum, home of the Riace Bronzes, bronze statues found in the bottom of the sea in 1972 and recently restored. You can enjoy a pleasant walk in the main street, Corso Garibaldi and Via Marina, defi ned by the poet and writer Gabriele D’Annunzio “the most beautiful kilometer in Italy”. Transfer to the port of Villa San Giovanni and lift by car to Sicily. Later arrival and check-in at the hotel in the Catania area. Dinner on your own and overnight at the hotel.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on your own by car to Mount Etna and visit the Silvestri Craters, you can book a guided tour with an expert volcanologist of the highest craters and a Jeep tour. In the afternoon transfer to Taormina, visit the city center and the famous Greek Theatre, built around the 3rd century A.C. The theater, besides its Greek origins, has many characteristics of Roman art. Return to your hotel in the evening. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer on your own by car to Syracuse, one of the main art cities from all over Europe, full of landmarks and monuments. In fact, Syracuse has been included by UNESCO in 2005 in the World Heritage list. The historic city is developed largely in Ortigia Island, Syracuse is in fact called “the island within an island”, accessible through the Umbertino Bridge and the Bridge of Saint Lucia. You have the chance to visit the baroque-style Cathedral of Syracuse, built between 1728 and 1754, the Temple of Apollo dated on VI Century A.C. and the Fountain of Arethusa, a stretch of water in the Island of Ortigia, originated from the vent of one of the underground aquifers that characterize the whole area. Return to your hotel in the evening. Dinner on your own and overnight stay at your hotel accommodation.
