The "Nile & Desert" program is a 10-day journey designed to explore Egypt's most iconic destinations, combining a Nile cruise with an adventure to the Fayoum Oasis and the Valley of the Whales (Wadi El Hitan), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This itinerary includes one night in Luxor, four nights on a Nile cruise, and four nights in Cairo, allowing travelers to visit Egypt’s most significant pharaonic temples, the breathtaking Theban Necropolis, Karnak and Luxor Temples, Abu Simbel, the Pyramids of Giza, and the historical center of Cairo. Additionally, this program includes a special visit to the Temple of Dendera, an extraordinary Greco-Roman temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor, renowned for its well-preserved astronomical reliefs and Egyptian zodiac. Travelers will also experience an exciting 4x4 expedition through the Egyptian desert, exploring prehistoric fossils and stunning lakes in the country’s most beautiful oasis.

Day 01 - Arrival in Cairo / Luxor:

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, a Spanish-speaking representative will assist with immigration and visa formalities. You will then take a domestic flight to Luxor, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Luxor.


Day 02 - Luxor / Embarkation on the Cruise:

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by a coach trip to Dendera, where you will visit the stunning temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor, famous for its astronomical reliefs and Egyptian zodiac signs. Return to Luxor and embark on the cruise. After lunch, visit the Luxor and Karnak Temples, two of the largest and best-preserved temples in Egypt. Dinner and overnight onboard in Luxor.

Day 03 - Luxor / Esna:

Full board onboard. Cross the west bank of the Nile to visit the Theban Necropolis, including the Valley of the Kings, where pharaohs such as Tutankhamun and Ramses IV were buried (you can visit up to three tombs). Continue to the Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el-Bahari and the Temple of Ramses III at Medinet Habu. End the tour with a panoramic view of the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the cruise and sail towards Esna. In the evening, cross the Esna Lock and continue to Edfu. Dinner and overnight onboard.

Day 04 - Edfu / Kom Ombo:

Full board onboard. In the morning, take a horse-drawn carriage to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, the best-preserved temple in Egypt. Return to the cruise and sail to Kom Ombo, where you will visit its temple, dedicated to Haroeris (Horus the Elder) and Sobek (the crocodile god). Also, visit the exhibition of mummified crocodiles. Dinner and overnight onboard in Aswan.


Day 05 - Aswan / Abu Simbel:

Full board onboard. Depart by coach to Abu Simbel (280 km, approx. 3 hours). Visit the spectacular temples of Ramses II and Nefertari, rescued by UNESCO and considered one of Egypt’s most impressive archaeological sites. Return to Aswan. In the afternoon, enjoy a felucca ride on the Nile, admiring Elephantine Island, the Botanical Garden, and the Agha Khan Mausoleum. Optionally, extend the excursion with a visit to a Nubian Village. Dinner and overnight onboard in Aswan.

Day 06 - Aswan / Cairo:

Breakfast and disembarkation. Take a motorboat to Philae Island to visit the Temple of Isis. Then, visit the Aswan High Dam, one of the most significant engineering achievements of the 20th century. Transfer to the airport for your domestic flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Cairo.


Day 07 - Cairo:

Breakfast at the hotel. Visit the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure, the Sphinx, and the Valley Temple of Khafre. From the panoramic viewpoint, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the entire complex. After lunch, visit the Saqqara Necropolis, home to the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, the world's first stone structure. Return to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.


Day 08 - Cairo:

Breakfast at the hotel. A full-day tour of Cairo’s historic sites, starting with the Egyptian Museum, home to Tutankhamun’s treasures. Continue to the Coptic Quarter, where you will visit the Hanging Church, the Church of St. Sergius, and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. After lunch, explore the Citadel of Saladin, where the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali stands. End the day at Khan el-Khalili Bazaar, the oldest market in Egypt. Return to the hotel and overnight in Cairo.


Day 09 - Fayoum Oasis & Valley of the Whales:

Breakfast at the hotel and departure in 4x4 vehicles to Fayoum Oasis. Visit Wadi El Hitan (Valley of the Whales), a UNESCO World Heritage site, where fossils of prehistoric whales can be seen. Explore the Petrified Forest, home to massive fossilized trees over 30 meters long, and admire the Magic Lake, known for changing colors depending on the time of day. Lunch at a local restaurant and a visit to Tunis Village, famous for its handmade pottery. Return to Cairo and overnight at the hotel.


Day 10 - Cairo / Departure:

Breakfast and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your return flight.

INCLUSION INSURANCE IN COMBINED TRAVEL RESERVATIONS

Once the agency informs the client about the recommendation to contract insurance for the trip, it is the client who can contract insurance with the agency, or contract it directly with whoever they want.
