Day 1: Havana

Day 2: Havana

Classic Havana (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today, there are around 60,000 classic American cars in Cuba of which almost half come from the 1950s. These cars are often family heirlooms, passed down from generation to generation. Big Hollywood stars and former US President Barack Obama have enjoyed these colorful cars. To start the day, you will learn how Cubans, with their unique ingenuity, restore these vehicles. For this, we will visit an informal local workshop near the Plaza de la Revolución and another professional workshop where you can also see old collectibles from the 50s. Later we will continue the ride in a collectible car through modern Havana. During this unique experience, where we combine the charm of a wonderful city with its vintage cars, we will pass through the historic Plaza de la Revolución, through the Bosque de la Habana, the green lung of the city, and along the admirable Fifth Avenue, full of villas that belonged to the Havana bourgeoisie. The famous Malecon, ocean wall, cannot be missed, full of dreams and laughter, where Cubans sit down to share and enjoy the sea and local life. In the afternoon, you will walk through the old part of the city with its unique streets and squares, and we will dedicate a stop to the Automobile Museum that holds the history of these cars in Cuba.

Day 3: Havana

Havana - Las Terrazas - Havana (Breakfast, Lunch)
Today we delve into the exuberant nature of Cuba. We will embark on a journey to the Sierra del Rosario, a beautiful natural environment where the Las Terrazas community is located, a sustainable development that emerged in 1971. During a walk through the community, you will learn about the reforestation of this area and the balance between the inhabitants of the place and its nature. You will have lunch in a rustic restaurant that offers typical Creole food. Here you will experience a rich history during a tour of the old ruins of French coffee plantations that flourished during the 19th century. In the afternoon, we will return to Havana.

Day 4: Matanzas

Havana - Hershey - Matanzas (Breakfast, Dinner)
After your morning coffee, you will arrive at a little-known 20th century outpost of American capitalism in Cuba – Hershey. This town, constructed by Magnate Milton Hershey, became the sugar production center for one of the world’s most famous chocolate companies. This town later became the center of an electric railway line that still exists today. To reach this town, you will take the Vía Blanca, a beautiful road along the sea that connects Havana with the city of Matanzas. Later the tour will stop at one of the 7 wonders of Cuban engineering: the Bacunayagua bridge. To appreciate the view of this construction, completed in 1959, we invite you to enjoy one of the best Piña Coladas in Cuba. Finally, you will arrive in Matanzas, the Athens of Cuba, one of the most prosperous cities of the 20th century, filled with architecturally unique bridges. Matanzas, a sugar trade center, thanks to its magnificent port, had one of the highest concentrations of slaves in the country. Its economic development led to a boom in the arts and sciences. The city tour includes a visit to the Pharmaceutical Museum, the first in Latin America, and a faithful recreation of a French apothecary with an impressive collection of porcelain pots and old-fashioned medicine recipes. The day ends with an evening ride around the bay where you can savor a local meal in one of the many restaurants (not included).

Day 5: Santa Clara

Matanzas - Santa Clara (Breakfast, Lunch)
In the morning, you will leave Matanzas and a few kilometres into the journey, we will take a break at Finca Coincidencia. There lies one of the most important sociocultural projects in the country, in which several families, mostly represented by their young members, have found work and study. This natural environment, a harmonious combination of art and nature, invites you to relax and learn about its various ceramic projects and ecological cultivation of among others, corn, beans, bananas and mangoes. After an exquisite lunch, we will continue heading towards the city of Santa Clara. The famous city of Che is not only popular for being the home to the remains of Commander Ernesto Guevara, but also for its vibrancy. This city hums with a distinctive energy and a lively, eclectic nightlife around its central park.

Day 6: Trinidad

Santa Clara - Manicaragua - Trinidad (Breakfast, Lunch)
In the morning, cruise in the classic cars towards south central Cuba, to the quaint city of Trinidad. Along the way, we will skirt small towns and the Escambray mountain range until we reach an old sugar mill: San Isidro de los Destiladeros. The remains of this hacienda are one of the oldest in the Valle de los Ingenios, where you will see the house of residence, a bell tower and other components of the mill, including the slave barracks and the boiler area. Later we will arrive at Trinidad, the third town founded by the Spanish crown in Cuba, at the beginning of 1514, splendidly preserved and full of traditions. This colonial city was the center of the golden age of the sugar industry in Cuba, whose splendor is seen today in the magnificent mansions of its wealthy former owners. You will visit the mansion belonging to the Brunet family, today called the Romantic Museum. After a stroll through the historic center and its cobbled alleys, enjoy the afternoon free.

Day 7: Trinidad

Trinidad (Breakfast)
Take the day off to relax at Playa Ancon. Enjoy the warm and crystal-clear water and sandy beach of the Caribbean Sea.

Day 8:

Trinidad - Cienfuegos - Havana (Breakfast, Lunch)
While enjoying the view from the classic car, journey along the south coast between Trinidad and Cienfuegos, over rivers that flow into the sea. We will reach Cienfuegos, a port city that enchants with its eclectic architecture, beautiful boardwalk and large bay. Take a walk through the Pearl of the South, as Cubans know it, and enjoy a pleasant seafood lunch at the best restaurant in the city. To end the day, you will return on the national highway, heading back to Havana.
