TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Ubud: the cultural heart of Bali, surrounded by lush rice fields and known for its traditional arts, temples and spiritual atmosphere. Visitors experience Balinese heritage through dance performances, sacred water temples, ancient royal tombs and renowned art galleries, combined with authentic village life and eco‑sensitive activities.

Candidasa: a peaceful coastal town on Bali’s east coast, offering a relaxed atmosphere and scenic ocean views. It serves as an ideal base for exploring eastern Bali’s cultural and spiritual landmarks.

Lovina: a coastal resort area in northern Bali, famous for its calm waters and black sand beaches. The bay is known for early‑morning dolphin sightings, offering a unique natural experience at sunrise.

Sanur: a relaxed seaside resort on Bali’s south‑east coast, known for its calm beaches and traditional village feel. It provides an ideal setting for leisure, beach time and independent exploration at the end of the journey.

Day 1: ARRIVAL DENPASAR – UBUD (40km – 1.5hrs)

Arrival at Denpasar Airport. Welcome by your French-speaking guide with a flower necklace. Transfer to Ubud, the cultural heart of the island. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome drink. Lunch is included, followed by free time at leisure. Dinner included.

Day 2: UBUD

Departure for the village of Batubulan to attend the Barong and Kriss dances. Continue with a visit to Tegallalang. Lunch included. Stop at the sacred springs of Tirta Empul, a set of basins fed by miraculous water where the Balinese come to purify themselves. Then discover the site of Gunung Kawi, the “Mountain of the Poets”, a magnificent complex housing ten royal tombs from the 11th century carved into the canyon walls, accessed by a staircase surrounded by lush vegetation. Return to Ubud and visit the exceptional painting gallery of Mr Agung Rai. Dinner included.

Day 3: UBUD

Eco-sensitive activity: walk through the rice fields. During this walk, observe the work of Balinese farmers and enjoy the magnificent landscapes. Breakfast in a local restaurant, then return to the hotel. Free afternoon to explore the city at your own pace: art galleries, the local market, the Monkey Forest, or relaxation by the hotel pool. Dinner included.

Day 4: UBUD – CANDIDASA (60km – 1.5hrs)

In the morning, visit the traditional market of Gianyar, offering fruits, vegetables, clothes and offerings. Eco-sensitive activities: meeting and discussion with the inhabitants of Sukahet Sari village, visit to a weaving cooperative, walk through the rice fields to discover rural life and better understand the ingenious Subak irrigation system, ploughing with cows and rice planting with the help of a farmer, cooking lesson with village women and an offering workshop. Lunch of Balinese dishes accompanied by traditional music. Departure for Candidasa. In Klungkung, visit the former Kerta Gosa courthouse with its beautifully painted ceilings. Finally, visit the Goa Lawah Temple, also known as the Bat Cave.

Day 5: CANDIDASA – LOVINA (110km – 3.5hrs)

Departure for Lovina with a stop in Putung to admire the superb view over the Blue Lagoon bay. Visit the Hindu temple of Besakih, the largest and most sacred temple in Bali, the “Mother Temple” of the island. Located on the slopes of Mount Agung, this major spiritual centre is a complex of more than eighty temples. Continue along the scenic road to Suter and reach the mountain village of Kintamani. Lunch with a view over the volcano crater and Lake Batur. Continue to Lovina in the north of the island. En route, visit the temples of Beji and Meduwe. Arrival in Lovina, bordered by a black sand beach. Dinner included.

Day 6: LOVINA – SANUR (95km – 3.5hrs)

At dawn, departure by outrigger canoe to watch the sunrise and enjoy the spectacle of dolphins swimming in the bay. Breakfast, then departure for Bedugul along a beautiful road overlooking the Buyan and Tamblingan lakes. Visit Ulun Danu Temple, gracefully reflected in the waters of Lake Bratan. Discover the fruit and flower market of Bedugul, followed by lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit Batukaru Temple, hidden in the jungle and rarely visited, despite being one of the six main shrines in Bali, exuding serenity and spirituality. End the day with sunset at the charming Tanah Lot Temple, one of Bali’s seven sea temples. Transfer to Sanur and check-in at the seaside hotel. Dinner at leisure.

Depending on the flight schedule, transfer to Denpasar Airport.

Comfortable light clothing is the most suitable for travelling in Bali. Visitors should not wear sleeveless shirts, shorts, short skirts or skimpy clothing when visiting temples, religious or official buildings. Sun protection, sunglasses, a hat and Mosquito repellent can be very useful during your stay.
