Ready for a Croatian adventure? Discover the best of Croatia in this eight-day exciting tour. You will have the opportunity to explore central Dalmatia at the beginning of Zadar and its surroundings, in the middle of the programme island Brač and at the end Podstrana/Split. All this with a spectacular view and magnificent nature.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Brač: Climb at Vidova Gora (778 m) and enjoy the panoramic view of the town of Bol and its famous beach, as well as the surrounding islands of Hvar, Vis, Korčula and Pelješac peninsula.

Trogir: visit the Cathedral of St. Lawrence with a famous main portal made by master Radovan, the 15th-century Town Hall, the Town Hall, the Ćipiko Palace and the 11th century Benedictine Monastery.

Paklenica National Park: The relatively small area has an abundance of geomorphological phenomena and forms, diverse flora and fauna, attractive landscapes and intact nature.

National Park Plitvice: due to its specific geology, geomorphology and hydrology it truly is one of the most impressive karst entities in the world. Apart from dolomitic rock, Mesozoic limestones with dolomite inserts are predominant here.

Split: Split is an important historical and cultural city, with numerous museums, churches, theatres and other archaeological treasures throughout. Certainly the most impressive is the massive structure of Diocletian's Palace, built by the Romans in the fourth century.

After breakfast in the hotel, we’re off to the Plitvice lakes for a hiking adventure to the Plitvice National Park. The ratio between less porous or water-retaining dolomites and porous Jurassic limestone sediments in the karst has influenced the landscape of the overall area today. Specific hydrology properties of rock have enabled water retention on Triassic dolomite rocks, as well as canyon formation by water cutting through Cretaceous limestone deposits. Tufa barriers are a phenomenon enabling water to remain inside the lakes. After the hiking tour, we are heading back to the hotel in Petrčane.
