DAY 01: TACNA IN – CITY PANORAMIC TOUR & COUNTRYSIDE
Reception and transfer to the chosen hotel. 14:30 Pick up from the hotel. Panoramic bus ride through the historic center, on this tour you will learn the history of the tourist icons of the Civic Walk; the beautiful Cathedral (inaugurated 79 years after its construction), the Ornamental fountain surrounded by Greek Gods (brought from Belgium in 1869 by Gustave Eiffel), the Arch of Heroes (in honor of the heroes of the Pacific War), the Alameda Bolognesi (it is the “identity of Tacna”), the Botanical Garden (it preserves a variety of plants and palm trees), the commercial area of various national products and health services. Then, you will visit the Natural Plant Zoo, a beautiful place of rest and relaxation. Also, you will go to the markets where you will find imported products. Continuing with the tour, you will visit a winery on the Pisco Route, where you will taste wines and piscos. Next, you will take the gastronomic route of the Campiña to taste the “pastel de choclo” in a family home. Then, you will visit the archaeological complex of Petroglyphs of Miculla, where you will interpret the iconography engraved on the stones through which our ancestors communicated their activities and visit the museum. Later, you will cross the 65 km suspension bridge and finally, you will visit the Balneario de Calientes, where you can use the private pools or pools, depending on availability. Return and accommodation in Tacna.
DAY 02: COASTAL TOUR
Breakfast. We begin with the pick-up to start the excursion. After 40 minutes we will visit the main resort of Tacna “Boca del Rio”, and then continue to the ITe Wetlands, these wetlands are small lagoons with vegetation that are home to 148 species of birds, of which 72 are resident birds and 76 are birds and visitors, highlighting the Parihuanas or also called flamingos, there are Andean and Chilean, Andean ducks, chochas, herons, seagulls, swallows and others, then we will continue until we reach the Chiribaya Culture Museum, where you will admire this culture that developed since 900 AD where the mummies, amazing textiles, and fine ceramics stand out, and then we go to the meeting of the city of Ilo Puerto, Encanto, there we will visit the San Gerónimo Church from the years of 1871, it is built on the rock, and the Plaza de Armas in whose center you can see the beautiful ornamental fountain in the shape of a giant fan shell, we will visit the historic fiscal dock built 1861, where Chilean troops landed during the Pacific War, and you cannot miss walking across the Venus Bridge to the José Gálvez roundabout, a meeting place where the sunsets are spectacular, walking along the boardwalk completes the experience of getting to know the city of ILO, stop for lunch (on the Tourist's account) and in the afternoon the walk along its beautiful beaches such as Puerto Inglés, Pozo de Lizas, where contact with the sand, sea baths according to the season and photo sessions will complete our activities on this TOUR, return to your hotel in ILO if you start your tour from there, or return to the City of Tacna if you start from Tacna.
DAY 03: TACNA OUT
Breakfast. At the appropriate time transfer to the station/airport to return to the city of origin or continue with the trip.
